Sea worthy at this stage but not road worthy - note the license plate. VINTAGE ROSE. ID: 1934 Chris Craft triple cockpit runabout, Model 38A, Hull No. 21038. DESCRIPTION: Mahogany planked batten seam, planing hull; LOA 21, Beam 6-5, Draft 110. FINDINGS: The engine is a 1954 Chrysler Imperial V-8, Model M45S. Butt joint of planks immediately above port chine amidships have a large gap. The covering board end at the starboard bow sounded suspicious. The prop shaft is one inch diameter, SS, and the prop is 12-1/2 dia. x 3 blade, RH. |
