Honorariums Dorothy Ann rushed into the office. It was almost Christmas and I was surprised to see such a busy lady in the offices at holiday time. She gushed, “I have the most fabulous Christmas present for you – but really it’s for me too!” I looked at her happy face. She went on to say, “My husband has just promised me $50,000 for Christmas and I want the museum to have it. I want to give $10,000 a year for the next five years to underwrite the exhibitions program!” The Dorothy Ann Conn Exhibition Fund was born. You too can make not only your loved ones happy but also make enormous strides in your community. Honorariums are a great way to say Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, send holiday greetings or to acknowledge a friend, family member or co-worker with a contribution to the Museum. Contributions can be any size from nominal to magnificent. The Museum staff will send a beautiful card to your honoree telling them of your thoughtfulness. Memorials are also accepted in honor of a loved one. We continue to accept contributions in memory of many wonderful volunteers who have been a part of the museum. The Museum will acknowledge your gift in the newsletter and to family members as you request. Honorariums and Memorials are expended for core mission goals like collections restoration, exhibitions, the Milligan Library and our education programs. We encourage unrestricted gifts but if you want to request that funds go to one of these important program areas, we will be happy to comply.
